Our Pastor, Dr. Marcus Campbell

Dr. Marcus DeWayne Campbell was born the eldest child of five children in Warren, Arkansas.  He accepted Christ at the age of nine (9), and ordained as a deacon at the age of thirteen (13).  He completed high school and immediately entered into the United States Army, serving at duty stations in Arkansas, Egypt, Germany, Georgia, Kuwait, Missouri, Texas, and Virginia.
            Dr. Campbell is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, achieving both an Associate of Arts degree and the Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health and Health Education; the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University possessing a Master of Divinity Degree; the Strayer University with a Master of Business Administration degree; and United Theology with a Doctorate of Ministry. On January 18, 2002, he accepted the Call of GOD into the Spoken Ministry.  He is licensed and ordained to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
           Dr. Campbell is the Founding Senior Pastor of the Abundant Life Christian Center in Hopewell, Virginia, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Marcus Campbell Ministries, LLC.  He has served as the youngest Vice-President in the history of the United Fellowship of Churches; the youngest elected President and Chief Executive Officer of the multi-denominational and multi-ethnic Downtown Churches United of Petersburg; and the youngest consecrated Bishop appointed to the Council of Bishops for The Agape Christian Fellowship, Inc., and these are just a few of his accomplishments. Bishop’s passion for enhancing The Kingdom of GOD by Building the People of GOD is felt in his energetic preaching and teaching. His belief is that the restoration of hope for a troubled world will only be success when it is placed upon a solid, Christ-based foundation. Through Bishop the anointing flows, miracles happen, salvation is received and lives are changed for The Glory of GOD.  He is an attentive husband, beloved father, committed leader, and dedicated servant.
